China’s cotton import volume dropped slightly in July from June, falling to 229,000 tons or 1,051,728 480-pound bales. September 2006 through July 2007 cotton imports totaled 2,020,200 tons or approximately 9,096,497 480-pound bales, which only represented a 21.13 percent year-on-year decline.
